ace
the talk was quite informative but a little dry. dont think i can remember the different branches of law anyway, but the course sounds interesting. think you have to do about 4 or 5 years of study, 6 months of pupilage and 3 months of.. dunno what. then to be a practitioner, you have to get upper second honors or something. does not mean that you have to be lawyer when you study law, the speaker said quite some people changed jobs after practising law for 1 or 2 yrs. maybe i'll just take the course for fun, it's good to know something about law so you dont accidentally break it. that means i have to first pass the entrance test and interview before i can get into law faculty.
but i should probably focus on my o levels first.. sigh.
lunch time
okie this section is
not about food as the title would suggest. if you must know, i didn't go down at all. it was a bit late since i stayed back to ask some questions after the ace talk. besides, i wasn't hungry.
anyway, feli, shiying, shiqi, leila, ruth, mich, sarah were having this sort of cell group meeting during lunch time and singing songs. i was curious (kapo) and went over to see what they were doing. i joined in and had fun singing canyon with them. learnt this new song, very nice, but the tune is a little hard to grasp. i think it's really good to have cell groups like this, to encourage each other. something abt the closing prayer touched me. perhaps it's the thought that it's really nice to have people who cares and to support one another.
prize presentation
today got prize presentation after the b boys finals. ri playing acsi for 1st and 2nd placing. we got there quite late because we took bus, but the sec2s took taxi. was in time for the last match though, the score was 2 all so the last match is the deciding one. marcus phua played victor sth from asci and won 3-1. so zai, all his volley drops and drives quite tight. though towards the end his opponant made quite some mistakes, his drops were down and he was caught off guard by the volley drops/never run. i must say marcus is very good in putting the ball away from his opponant, plus his trick shots... quite brilliant. so in the end ri won, 1st time in dunno how many years. think acsi must be quite sad, since they have been long standing champions.
and i saw peng ming today, was so surprised. never talk to him, just wave only. hehz. shieh yuan said his hair was weird.. i didn't really notice, so cant comment. he still looks the same, boyish looks.
then there's the old squasher crowd, shaun, shawn, mark. doubt he still remembers me, did try not to stare at him too much.. haha. mark saw me at kfc, didn't quite recgonise him until our eyes met and he waved.
took lotsa pictures with b div, c div, teachers, coach and (dont ask me why) the mgs team. thought we've always been 'arch rivals', dont know why suddenly so chummy wanna take pictures with us. but they seem quite nice, better to be friends than enemies right? perhaps a more accurate word would be acquaintances. yes, semi-friendly acquaintances. im quite over the initial (violent) dislike of mgs which is primarily caused by the fight over 1st placing last time between our seniors and their rude/ irritating cheers. now, i rather like their cheers, after all familiarity breeds fondness, not contempt. haha. (i got that from some psychology brain book)
after all the photo taking, we went to kfc to eat. mr lui and ms neo so nice, treat us to dinner. too bad xiu fang went home, had to meet her brother/mom at city hall. i ate so much fried chicken.. haiz. this is what happens to my diet after 2 days. so fattening k, all the oil and fats and sugar (from soft drinks). so i went home and did 50 sit-ups and 20 leg lifts. not that i think it helps much anyway. sighz. i shall fast tml. lol. but if i go down to canteen, sure eat something one. then the longer i stay there, the more i want to eat, all the food on display tempting me.
